| So you want to find meaning in life?
To the best of my knowledge: Life is an opportunity for a certain kind of experience. Life is to experience being human on this planet at this time. I have heard it is a high-ticket item, and there may be a line around the block to be born. Here we have opportunities to learn, live, sing, dance, love, be a contribution - or to be in our own world, be self-centered, cry the blues, suffer, hurt and blame others... The experience each of us have is unique. No one else can truly know what it is like to be us, yet everyone is our mirror. The nature of reality is not only change, but expansion. Everyone plays a part in this expansion, from presidents to panhandlers. Stars to microbes. As our universe (stars and planets) are expanding, so must we in order to be in harmony with life. The (young) souls who try to hold on to fixed ideas of how to live life often experience great struggle and pain. There is no safety in systems, not even religious ones, but if you find joy and upliftment there, stay. Don't be in a hurry to become "enlightened" - enjoy the journey instead. The secret to life is that there is no end to it and you are never alone. We may think we only have one life to live, but we probably have as amny as we want. Our Souls are all connected all the time, and we are all creating life together. We are each on our own path - not back to where we came from - but to where we all are going. I think Counsciousness, God, Great Spirit, Alah, Odin, Ra, the Great One is as curious to see what will happen next as we are. It may look like our society is always on the edge of its own destruction, but in the face of what we see as real danger our most noble qualities can emerge. If we did not think we could die, we could never experience being a hero. And because we see unjustices we find causes we can feel passionate about. In every disaster people cross barriers of race, creed and religion to come together. There is a gift in any experience, and the faster we can find it, the sooner we come back to our native joy. My personal recipie for a life worth living is this:
I believe we were granted the experience of life on this planet by an infinately loving presence and at the end there will an opportunity to look back and see what life meant to us - and then perhaps to start another adventure. There will be no judgement passed onto us, or punishment if we missed the mark. I think that If God wanted us to things right, he would have fired us a long time ago. So go forth. Live and learn. Create something beautiful. Be passionate and count your blessings. Morturi te salute ! |
